Public Profiles & Web Pages System
CreatorContent uses a powerful three-tier system to build your website: Public Profiles, Pages, and Sections. This flexible architecture lets you create professional websites without coding.
A Public Profile is the top-level container for your website. It holds site-wide information like:
- Website Name: Your brand or organization name
- URL Slug: Your unique web address (e.g.,
creatorcontent.net/yourname) - Avatar & Banner: Visual branding elements
- Bio: A description of your website/brand
- Base Template: The overall design theme for your site
- Display Settings: Global visibility options
Think of it as the container for your entire website - it represents your brand identity across all your pages.
A Page is a page-level container within your Public Profile. Each page has its own URL and contains:
- Page Title: The name of your page (e.g., "About", "Bio", "Contact")
- URL Slug: The page's specific URL path (e.g.,
creatorcontent.net/yourname/bio) - Menu Settings: How the page appears in navigation menus
- Header/Footer: Page-specific header and footer configurations
- Sections: The actual content blocks that make up the page
You can create multiple pages for different purposes: a bio page, contact page, blog page, events page, etc. Each page can have a different layout and sections.
A Section is a building block of content within a Page. Sections are reusable components that display specific types of content:
Text Section
Display formatted text content with custom colors
Image Section
Show images with captions and alt text
Video Section
Embed videos with autoplay options
Audio Section
Add audio players for music or podcasts
Events Section
Display your events with dates and details
Podcast Section
Showcase your podcast episodes
Blog Section
Feature your latest blog posts
Gallery Section
Create photo galleries and portfolios
Contact Form
Let visitors send you messages
Poll/Survey Section
Gather feedback from your audience
Each section has customizable variables (like title, content, colors, media files) and can use different templates for various layouts.
Owner View is a special mode that appears when you visit your own public pages while logged in. It provides powerful live editing capabilities:
- Floating Control Panel: A panel on the right side with quick actions
- Live Preview: See exactly how your page looks to visitors
- Quick Edits: Edit page and profile settings without leaving the page
- Section Management: Add, edit, reorder, or delete sections in real-time
- Template Switching: Change your base template and see results instantly
- Page Switching: Navigate between your pages with a dropdown menu
- Inactive Sections: View and activate sections that aren't published yet
The Owner View includes a Live indicator showing your page is published and accessible to the public.
CreatorContent separates content creation from content display:
1. Create & Manage Content (Dashboard)
You manage your content entities in the dashboard:
- Blogs & Posts: Write and publish blog articles
- Events: Create and schedule events
- Podcasts & Episodes: Upload and manage podcast content
- Polls & Surveys: Create interactive content
- Media Library: Upload images, videos, and audio files
2. Display Content (Public Pages)
Then you choose what to display on your public pages using sections:
- Add a Blog Section to display your blog posts
- Add an Events Section to show upcoming events
- Add a Podcast Section to feature your episodes
- Customize which specific items to display using entity selectors
Example Workflow
- Create a blog in Dashboard → Blogs
- Write several blog posts
- Go to your public page in Owner View
- Click "Create Section" and choose "Blog Section"
- Select which blog to display using the blog selector
- Save the section - your blog posts now appear on your public page!
This separation means you can manage content once and display it on multiple pages in different ways, giving you complete flexibility.
-
Create a Public Profile
Go to Dashboard → Public Profiles → Create Profile. Set your name, slug, and branding.
-
Create a Page
From your profile, click "Add Page". Give it a title and slug (e.g., "Bio", "bio").
-
Visit Your Page
Go to
creatorcontent.net/yourname/bio- you'll see Owner View. -
Add Sections
Click "Create Section", choose a section type (Text, Image, Video, etc.), and fill in the variables.
-
Customize & Arrange
Edit sections, reorder them, and adjust settings until your page looks perfect!
Section Variables are the customizable fields for each section type. Different section types have different variables:
Text Section Variables:
- Title - The section heading
- Content - Your text content
- Text Color - Color picker for text
- Background Color - Color picker for background
Image Section Variables:
- Title - Section heading
- Image - Media selector to choose from your library
- Alt Text - Accessibility description
- Caption - Optional image caption
Event Section Variables:
- Title - Section heading
- Event - Entity selector to pick which event to display
- Show Description - Toggle to show/hide event details
- Display Options - How the event should be formatted
Each variable type has a specialized input: color pickers for colors, media selectors for images/videos/audio, entity selectors for blogs/events/podcasts, etc.
Owner View gives you a floating control panel on the right side with these features:
- Page Name & Edit Button: Quick access to edit page settings
- Profile Name & Edit Button: Quick access to edit profile settings
- Base Template Selector: Switch templates instantly to see different designs
- Switch Page Button: Dropdown to navigate between your pages
- Create Section Button: Add new content sections to your page
- Add Page Button: Create new pages for your profile
On each section, you'll see action buttons to:
- Edit the section's variables and settings
- Move the section up or down on the page
- Activate or deactivate the section
- Delete the section
Pro Tip: Owner View only appears when YOU are viewing your page while logged in. Regular visitors see a clean page without any editing controls.
Content Management
All content entities are managed from your Dashboard in the admin area (creatorcontent.net/dashboard):
- Blogs: Dashboard → Blogs → Create blog posts and manage articles
- Events: Dashboard → Events → Schedule and manage events
- Podcasts: Dashboard → Podcasts → Upload episodes and manage shows
- Media: Dashboard → Media → Upload and organize images, videos, audio
- Polls/Surveys: Dashboard → Polls/Surveys → Create interactive content
After creating content in the dashboard, you display it on your public pages by adding the appropriate section type and using the entity selector to choose which items to show.
Once you've created blog posts in your dashboard:
- Visit your public page in Owner View
- Click "Create Section" from the floating panel
- Select "Blog Section" as the section type
- Choose a template (list view, featured posts, etc.)
- Use the blog selector to choose which blog to display
- Set how many posts to show and other display options
- Save the section - your blog posts now appear on your page!
The same process works for events, podcasts, and other content types - create in the dashboard, display on pages with sections.
